Messages say that the resource ID allocation space has been exhausted in the X window server. StarNet software engineers need to be able to replicate the problem using a special debug version of their software. They request access to our control system to run MEDM from their facility. They do not need the X-ray beam. 33BM-C seems to be a good location to offer them a full control environment. If we disable the StepPacks, then StarNet engineers can run any software from that station without the possibility of moving actual hardware. The 33BM schedule shows that 26 Feb - 3 Mar is a period in which XAFS is scheduled. That would be ideal for this work in 33BM-C. Alternatively, this could be scheduled for another experiment station at UNICAT. 33BM-C looked like the best candidate. StarNet needs to generate screens that are typical of what we have when MEDM crashes. equipment+required: experiment: debugging StarNet X-Win32 with MEDM foreign+nationals: hazards: remote user cannot see hardware being moved hutch should be closed during the experiment and all StepPack motor drivers should be turned off minimumdays: 1.5 name: Pete Jemian new+request: on nonmembers: only remote access, theses people will not come on site: Daniel Lam, StarNet possibly other StarNet software engineers unacceptable+dates: cannot conflict with scheduled 33BM-C experiments #REMOTE_HOST: zrh.uni.aps.anl.gov #REMOTE_ADDR: 164.54.216.36 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 1646 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/unireq.htm #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
