We will compare the Bragg crystal notch filter performance to that of a Laue crystal notch filter. In theory the Bragg filter will be about a factor of two more efficient. We will also test a differential aperture based on a SiN film with Au lines randomly layed down to create a kind of coded aperture. This approach is in principle about a factor of 10 faster than with a single wire. equipment_required: experiment: Microbeam optics study foreign_nationals: hazards: minimumdays: 3 name: Gene Ice new_request: ON nonmembers: unacceptable_dates: Please schedule after Novermber 10th, but not between December 8th and 12th. z34ID_change_undulator: no z34ID_details: No z34ID_on_axis: no z34ID_parasitic: yes z34ID_taper: no #REMOTE_HOST: icegeg4.ornl.gov #REMOTE_ADDR: 160.91.157.187 #CONTENT_LENGTH: 888 #HTTP_REFERER: http://www.uni.aps.anl.gov/unireq.htm #HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.22; Mac_PowerPC)
